SUBWAY supports the Hero in You
The Hero in You program aims to motivate students
to find champions within themselves; to find passion
in life; and, to reach for their individual success.
Two of the goals laid out for the program are “to
encourage youth to make positive contributions to
their communities” and “motivate youth
to be active, healthy people.”
SUBWAY supports and endorses these values in
every aspect of its business operation. SUBWAY has
become synonymous with providing healthy and nutritious
food alternatives for active people on the go. SUBWAY
is also committed to the communities, province-wide,
it services as witnessed by the many grass roots
initiatives and amateur sports in which it is involved.
This it why the SUBWAY franchisees of British
Columbia are proud to support the Hero in You program.
SUBWAY encourages the emerging youth of our province
to fuel their bodies, nourish their minds and strive
to be the best they can be!

“It’s about
bringing out the hero in everyone,” said John
Les, Minister of Small Business and Economic Development
and Minister responsible for Sport and the Vancouver
2010 Winter Olympics. “By telling the stories
of B.C. sports heroes we can bring the spirit of the
Olympics and Paralympics into every B.C. classroom,
and work toward creating tomorrow’s heroes in
every community and in every walk of life.”
“We must ensure that our children have the opportunities
to achieve their goals and reach their dreams,”
said Education Minister Tom Christensen. “Programs
like The Hero In You inspire our children to dream
and believe in themselves.” |
